ITS Customer Services is a group of individuals dedicated to providing technology support across the campus to students, faculty and staff. We work in conjunction with the ITS Computer Labs to ensure the use of technology provides the highest possible benefits to our customers. We can provide prompt and convenient response to your technical issues through phone, e-mail, and walk-in support. We'll gather necessary information to perform basic troubleshooting or to open a technician-assigned service ticket. We are located in the Eppley Administration Building (EAB) Room 104 and the Durham Science Center (DSC) Room 104. Our normal operating hours are 8 am - 5 pm Monday - Friday. During the summer we open and close 30 minutes earlier. Services we support include:
• The UNO E-mail System : Lotus Notes client, Domino Web Access (webmail), E-mail Listservs
• The UNO Course Management System (myUNO/myBlackboard)
• Password/accounts: Recovering or resetting a password; tips on changing and remembering passwords; UNO NetID; Guest Passwords
• Technology purchases: the campus technology store, academic pricing/software discounts, recommended computer systems, recommended software, campus Microsoft software agreement
• Antivirus and other Software: Available on the ITS Install Server
• Computer repair (University-owned equipment only): Customer Services support provided; what to do first; reporting a problem to Customer Services
• Equipment Checkouts: Laptops (all); electronic instruction 'clickers' and portable projectors (Facstaff only)
• Network Access: Wireless; on-campus internet and network access
• Web pages: Web server space, Web application form
• Network Storage: Central file server; personal file storage space
• Media Conversion: Convert VHS tapes and 35mm slides to CD/DVD media
• Printing/Scanning: tests; pamphlets; notices
• Computer Labs : Three ITS labs and 5 partner labs across campus; three off-campus locations
• At-home User Support : ITS offers support to our UNO at-home computer users in the way of favorite tech support web sites and vendor and Internet service provider links, and frequently asked general computing questions.
