classrooms: Since 2001, ITS has partnered with UNO Colleges to provide permanently installed technology in more than 180 classrooms. Since these installations have addressed over 98% of all room-related technology requests, ITS will begin this fall (2007) to phase out the delivery and check-out of mobile technology for the classroom. As always, faculty or staff with classroom technology requirements should work with their department’s room scheduler and the UNO Registrar’s office to arrange for a room with permanently installed technology. Instructors who require a TV and DVD or VCR player for use in non-technology rooms may request to have one of the existing TV/ carts permanently installed/secured in the room. To request a cart be permanently installed or to use equipment such as a slide projector, overhead transparency projector or audio tape player/recorder, please contact your department technology support person. If necessary, they will make the appropriate arrangements with ITS Customer Services.
rental, delivery and setup: ITS provides multimedia equipment rental, delivery, setup and optional staffing for on campus classes and events and for off campus University sponsored events. Charges are based on time and equipment and are typically less than charges by private businesses for equivalent services. A UNO budget number for billing is required when scheduling a request, or payment in advance by non-University organizations. Equipment and services can be ordered by phone (402) 554.4357, or over the Web. Rentals and staffing are provided on a first come, first served availability. Orders for special events need to be placed at least two weeks prior to the event to ensure availability of equipment and personnel to assist - if needed.

student laptop loan.
The student laptop loan program was started in 1996 and is intended for students who do not have computers available to them at home.

ITS Customer Services has five laptop computers that can be reserved and checked out by UNO faculty and staff members. A department budget number is required for this service. The first week of checkout is at no cost; each additional week or portion thereof is at the rate of $25 per week.
